I am Teaming up with Urban Species the Creme dela Creme of T-shirt aficionado's to bring you The 1st of my Official Hasbro Transformers line. What? Okay I get asked a lot of Questions. Some over & Over. Some Unique. But one I do get asked regularly, is when will I be doing something with Transformers again? Well here is it is! Retro Bumblebee, & Yeah with Toy Face! Cause that's my Bag. Grimlock Neon & in Transformation & Certainly not least Soundwave Family, cause it's all about family! Don't Expect Lee Bradley to Tread the Path other Artists Tread.
I'm a Trailblazer, with more much more than meets the eye! Another Weekend gone, Another show and a lot more fun. This time back in the heart of The West Midlands at The MCM Birmingham NEC Show. I like this one, because for me it's my local. Hop in the car and only moments away, same when heading home if I wish to partake in the beer o'clock festival. Not me of course, I'm a clean living boy. Anyway back to the show and a fun time it was too.. As well as the usual Spiderman, Transformers, Scarlet Witch & Earthworm Jim, yeah okay I admit some of those are not that usual. Shall we say varied requests. I also sketched for two special young chaps that had created their own Superheroes. They got to introduce themselves and tell me all about their superhero names and special powers, whilst grilling me unrelentingly. This was for a show to be screened on Cbeebies in the near future, I can't give any more away than that. All I can say is they seemed quite ecstatic at the pictures I drew for them. Much to my surprise, (should I admit that?) Though I do have to admit it was really quite gratifying to see. A Big Thank You to Matthew and Rochnee from Twofour Productions for doing a stellar job. As well as Andrew Holdsworth for being an okay assistant and an improving photographer, trust me he'll get better. He just need whipping into shape ;)
Ok Folks its that time of year when things start to get serious, when the Big-sHows come to town.
This Year I will be at East Midlands Con on Sunday 15th March based at the Capital FM Arena. Why you might ask? How do you choose which shows to do? What is your criteria for choosing? Well not only was I kindly invited to be a Guest by Lee Wallis. Not only do I think Nottingham is a great place to visit. But have you seen their Guest List? Holy Moley! You gotta check it out! Here's a hint: www.em-con.co.uk See You Sunday! You would be Crazy to miss it! Retro Marvel Now – The Art of Lee Bradley will be taking place at the Forge Mill Museum in Redditch, between 7th March until 12th April; an event in association with The Birmingham Comics Festival season that is taking place in the heart of The Midlands. This is the first exhibition to be held featuring the work of illustrator Lee Bradley and will be comprised of art featuring characters from and influenced by the work of Marvel Comics, one of the leading comic book companies in the USA whose superhero movies are such blockbuster hits! Renowned for his work in the trading and collector’s card world, it should come as no surprise that Bradley’s art has been featured in such popular series as Marvel’s Greatest Battles, Women of Marvel, Retro Marvel and Marvel Premiere, and will be seen in forthcoming Avengers: 'Age of Ultron' card series this year. Bradley’s influences are the classic Marvel and DC artwork of his own childhood, alongside a love for the characters and creations from popular 80s & 90s televison and film. Those who’ve experienced the gallery of artwork prior to its official opening describe it as “A great opportunity to see Lee's powerful and vibrant work close up.” While the Retro Marvel Now exhibition will be running consistently until 12th April, those attending the Forge Museum may also have the opportunity to meet the artist themselves, for Lee will also be conducting a number of workshops for local kids over the period. Retro Marvel Now – The Art of Lee Bradley is making living history today!
