So here we are, another year older, a tad bit wiser & a New Show to Experience.

I will be Starting of my Tour of these fair British Isles (& their inner-cities) at The Ultimate Geek Weekend. At least thats what it promises on the Flyer! 2015 Convention season starts out Early, so early I haven't took the tree down yet, but bare with me it will be done. I promise.

You can find me at Digi-Con on the 10th to 11th January, Sketching, Signing & most likely talking a lot,
until the voice gives up of course.  Other Guests include my former bowling Partner Ernie Hudson, Doctors Paul Mcgann & Peter Davidson, just incase there are any illnesses & a list so long I cannot be bothered to type it.

There are of course other artists, but you know I'm the one you really want.

For a full list of guests check here: www.digi-con.co.uk

Oh also theres been some changes on the website, you like?  I do.  That's not a proposal, just an observation.
There is now a link to my Instagram feed, Updated Galleries & a whole new look, with much more to follow & If you want to see where you can find me through 2015 just check out the 2015 Tour Dates.

Until next time!

MCM LONDON COMIC-CON

5/7/2014

Picture
Ok, so now its that time of the year when we are heading into the Big Con. You may wonder which I am referring to, but be in no doubt, with Record breaking attendance at the last show, and over 88,000 people passing through their doors, it is one hell of a Big Show!

In just over 2 weeks I will be there from the 23rd of May until the 25th Sketching my proverbial Butt off. I was going to say 'Ass' but it seemed rather Rude. So I will stick with Butt.

Ok so what's the deal? Well I sketch what you want, whatever that may be. But with numbers of 88,000 and growing, it really is 1st come 1st serve.  So this is your chance to jump the queue & Pre-Order. No waiting around, no wondering if I can get it done, Just click & collect, & what could be better than that?

To Pre-Order a Sketch simply go to the COMMISSIONS section of this Website along the Top Bar, Click what you are after & pay by Paypal. It couldn't be easier.

Keep an Eye out for more announcements over the next couple of weeks...

WINTER LFCC REVIEW

10/9/2013

Picture
Although the Saturday was slower than I expected, the Sunday seemed to pick up and had a nice flow throughout the day.  There was time to chat, draw and have a few giggles with the banter than was on hand.

One of the sketches I did (opposite) was for Mike DX, which featured himself with his favorite Autobot Optimus Prime.  What was nice was to see how happy Mike was with his sketch.  He actually looked quite taken aback, and proclaimed "Its even better than I could have ever imagined!"  Which brought a smile to my face!

Another of the covers I produced was Batman/Superman, (Below) which I really enjoyed doing.

(At some point I am going to have to gather all these cover images together, Gallery Anyone?)

As usual I had the mix of Transformers, Superheros, and a steady request for the Merc with a mouth himself, Deadpool.  To see more images of sketches just join in with my twitter/facebook/instagram feeds.

One Awesome Frenzy.... oops Rumble ;)

A taxi ride to New Street. An hour and a half to London via virgin trains. Three stops through the London Underground and then one Overground stop, and still I get there before 9.00! I think I must of had a bit of practice at this.

Early starts and sketching on the train put me in the mindset for the show, now how was this one?  For a start We were located in a different part of the show, instead of the central row we were on the far left, which I am sure affected the footfall.  Although not as busy as the July show, which is to be expected. The numbers seemed up on what was previously known as EMS.

This did give me a bit more time on the sketches I produced and more time to talk to each person I was sketching for.  Which was a nice change of pace for me.  Sometimes the intensity of the Big Shows can get to be a bit much!

Also it does seem as though Sketch Covers are starting to be starting to become the flavour of the day. Which I do find quite fun, as they are always tricky to do.

I think what I have come to realise after this show more than anything, is how much I enjoy these shows.  It's not just the banter or sketching, or even some of the crazy things I get to see.  It's the friendships I make.

These shows have such a friendly vibe to them, kids, teenagers, adults, All there just to have fun.  Its Almost an escape from the usual attitude of negativity that many people can posses.  Everyone I seem to meet is there for one reason.  To have fun, smile and enjoy themselves, which is something I really like.

Its almost a feeling of being one large family, where not everyone agrees on everything, but everyone does agree on one thing.  Lets just have fun!

Picture
I think this last photo says it far more eloquently than I ever could.  A whole family of Transformers just out to enjoy themselves.  That's right, check out that baby Optimus Prime! :D

AUTO ASSEMBLY 2013 REVIEW

Usually I would do a big rambling review of a show with a few clever words thrown in like 'discombobulate' just to show how wordy wise I am.

See what I did there!?!

However on this occasion I am going to let this small sampling of pictures do the job for me with an additional paragraph or two.

Suffice to say I had a good time at the show.  Met a few newbies at this Transfest. Gender not the issue.  With a lot of the regular Transfans in tow.  I had a good time, did a few nice sketches and had a good catch up chat and laugh with many fine folks.  Fellow Artists and Attendees amongst them.

Big thanks to Nick Snowden for sorting out last minute table space & to all those that came for sketches.  Drum Roll Please!....

London Film & ComicCon AFTERMATH

7/11/2013

Finally I am getting chance to do a Quick post about last weekends Film & Comic Con, otherwise known as The London Film & Comic Con! See what I did there?  I gave the location and made it sound all spiffy in one go!

Ain't I Amazing.

There was a Special Preview Opening on the Friday Evening this time, 9-6 which I am glad I went to. Not only did it enable me to be prepared & ready for the weekend, but it meant I got the chance to start sketching early.

Boy did I need it!  I ended up sketching all Friday evening, then had to carry on with the orders until 2.00am in the early morning!  4 hours later I was back up & getting ready for the Saturday morning start.

I hoped to pick up a morning breakfast in the Green Room, unfortunately there was no food at that time, so I just had an early morning Hot Chocolate alongside David Prowse. That's (Darth Vader) for the uninitiated.

Danny Glover, Jason Momoa, David Hasselhoff, the Green Room was full of famous faces, the only thing I had time to do though was fill my face full of chicken & get straight back to my table.  No rest, chatting, or chilling out for us Artist types you know!

Not only did I reach burnout by the end of the Saturday, but I also ended up sketching until 2.00am again. Hey I'm a Professional, that's what we do!

All in All it was a fabulous show. Exhausting but Fab & I got everyone's sketches finished too!

Until Next Time!

The Weekend after I will be in Manchester for The MCM Manchester Comic Con! Hope to See you there!

Unfortunately due to the volume of work I currently have on, I currently will not be taking Pre-Orders for these shows, So You will have to come and find me!
