I had an early start for this years Cardiff show. I would usually drive, but this time I grabbed a Cross Country Train down to the show. Although this meant an early start, I got the chance to see parts of the country I had not seen before.
That is the nice thing about doing new shows in new ways, you get to see things from new angles. It is always good to learn doing this job, which is something I hope I am continually doing.
I arrived at the Show 10 minutes before opening to be greeted by the friendly staff & a long queue waiting around the block, some in cosplay as their favorite characters. Others just wanting to get something involving their favorite characters.
Which is where I come in.
I had a nice mix of requests this time. Especially as much of them were characters I actually love myself. Getting to draw things I enjoy is one of the best aspects of this job.
The Second Day brought more Fun & what seemed like a different crowd of people. Many more in costume & a lot of Families dressed up for the event. There were was Batman & Batgirl out with their kids, Star Wars, Star Trek, & Iron Man showing off his fancy Outfit.
Plus more sketches for me.
I got the chance to meet new people have fun & even have a drink & a bit of banter with Fellow Artists Mike Collins, Dylan Teague, Liam Shalloo & David Lloyd.
Can't say better than that!
