I am pleased to say I will be a guest at this years Wales Comic Con. This will be my 1st time at the show & I have heard good things so I am looking forward to the event. They have a fantastic Guest List with Sophie Turner from (Game of Thrones) Billy Boyd (Lord of the Rings) Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). The entire Red Dwarf Cast, Warwick Davis, Carlos Bernard from (24 & Dallas), Robert Picardo (Star Trek Voyager, Stargate & Supernatural). Members of the Hobbit, Adam Brown & Jed Brophy. Andrew-Lee Potts (Primeval) Hannah Sperritt (Primeval & SCLUB7), Wrestling legands, Mick Foley, Goldust, Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase, Tommy Dreamer.... & The list goes on, from Star Wars to Star Trek, Merlin to Aliens, & Comic Guests Galore! My Pre-show sketch list will be opening soon, so keep your eyes open, Limited Spaces as I have limited time! For more info about the show & who else is attending simply click the poster opposite! I am pleased to announce I have been asked to contribute towards The New Women of MARVEL Sketch Card Series! I will be joining such luminary Artists as Adam Hughes, Joe Rubinstein, Rich Molinelli, & Mahmud Asrar, to have worked on this series. Each Card will be a one-off hand drawn SketchaFEX Card, featuring the most Fun, Devious, Dangerous & Powerful Women from the Marvel Universe. There will be an Original 1-of-a-kind Sketch Card in every box, alongside all kinds of other goodies! So keep a look out! I'm going to have fun! Another Weekend, another show though this time it was local. The Memorabilia show was the 1st venue I ever sketched in Public. Though this was way back when The 'Draw The World Together' Charity was there sponsored by NCSOFT. Back then I was drawing under the charities banner with requests from City of Heroes.
ALSO NOW AVAILABLE IN LARGE A2 SIZE THE CLASSIC GENERATION ONE TRANSFORMERS PRINT!
Next Weekend you can find me sketching, chatting & having a thoroughly good time at the nearest show to me, the MCM Birmingham Comic Con. Not quite as much Traveling, but hopefully an awful lot of Sketching. The show is Twinned with the Memorabilia show at the NEC, so 2 for the price of one! More details on their website here: http://www.mcmcomiccon.com/birmingham/ I had an early start for this years Cardiff show. I would usually drive, but this time I grabbed a Cross Country Train down to the show. Although this meant an early start, I got the chance to see parts of the country I had not seen before. That is the nice thing about doing new shows in new ways, you get to see things from new angles. It is always good to learn doing this job, which is something I hope I am continually doing. I arrived at the Show 10 minutes before opening to be greeted by the friendly staff & a long queue waiting around the block, some in cosplay as their favorite characters. Others just wanting to get something involving their favorite characters. Which is where I come in. I had a nice mix of requests this time. Especially as much of them were characters I actually love myself. Getting to draw things I enjoy is one of the best aspects of this job.
I will be at the Cardiff International Comic & Anime Expo on March the 2-3rd. That is this coming weekend to all those with calendar phobias out there. The Event is hosted in the Mercure Holland House on 24-26 Newport Road in Cardiff. The doors open Saturday Morning from 10 until 6 & 10.30 until 5 on the Sunday. These times are for Pre-booked tickets. Tickets on the day are available from 11am. These will be limited availability though, so remember to cue early! I will be Sketching all weekend, 1st come 1st serve. Remember I can only produce so much in a day! For more information about the show & everything else that will be taking place on the weekend click the website here: http://www.fantasyevents.org/cicae/
This Weekend I will be heading back up to the Big Apricot. (As I would like it to be known!) For The London Super Comic Convention. Based in the Excel Centre alongside the Docklands this promises to be one hell of a show. With the biggest creators in Comics from around the world this will be the mecca for all Comics aficionados. The doors open at 9.00 on Saturday morning for early entry, so remember to be bright eyed & busy tailed. You will find me in the Artists Alley at Table C28 on the far wall to your left. Just before you get to the half way point. You could always run down the middle isle & look that big Optimus Prime banner! Pre-orders will be able to be picked up from the morning, and if you have a sketch request come to me 1st thing, as I get full up pretty quick and can only do a limited amount on each day.
